Your case will most likely not fit if you’re upgrading from the original iPhone SE. The iPhone SE (2020) is equipped with a 4.7-inch Retina HD display. The previous iPhone SE (introduced in 2016) has a 4-inch screen. Because of the size difference, existing iPhone SE covers will not fit the 2020 model.

You’re in luck if you’re upgrading from an iPhone 6, iPhone 6s, iPhone 7, or iPhone 8. Most likely, your previous cover will fit the iPhone SE 2020. The height, breadth, and depth of the iPhone vary ever so little as it ages.

Model Height Width Depth
iPhone 6 138.1 mm 67.0 mm 6.9 mm
iPhone 6s 138.3 mm 67.1 mm 7.1 mm
iPhone 7 138.3 mm 67.1 mm 7.1 mm
iPhone 8 138.4 mm 67.3 mm 7.3 mm
iPhone SE (2020) 138.4 mm 67.3 mm 7.3 mm

Another thing to note is that the Apple logo on the iPhone SE (2020) is somewhat lower than it is on prior iPhones with the similar design. If you have a case with a logo cutout, the logo will no longer be in the right position.

You’ll need to purchase a new case if you’re upgrading from an iPhone XR, iPhone X, or iPhone XS. The iPhone X (and iPhone 11) lineups differ dramatically in height, breadth, and depth from the iPhone SE.

Apple’s newest budget-priced iPhone has an A13 Bionic CPU, making it ideal for photography, gaming, and augmented reality experiences. The A13 Bionic processor has a dedicated 8-core Neural Engine and is capable of 5 trillion operations per second. It also has two Machine Learning Accelerators on the CPU and a new Machine Learning Controller to balance performance and efficiency.

The iPhone SE (2020) also has a longer battery life than prior versions. It supports wireless charging with Qi-certified chargers and rapid charging, allowing consumers to get up to a 50 percent charge in only 30 minutes.

The iPhone SE (2020) is available in black, white, and PRODUCT (RED).
